Heather Moleski is a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel Borough who is deeply committed to serving and strengthening her community. Professionally, she works as a Senior Pricing Analyst for Geisinger Health Plan, where she brings strong analytical and leadership skills to her role. Heather proudly serves as a Councilwoman for Mount Carmel Borough and is the President of Mount Carmel Revive & Thrive, an organization dedicated to revitalization, community engagement, and local pride. She also serves as Vice President of the Northumberland County Redevelopment Authority Blight Task Force, working to address blight and promote redevelopment throughout the county. Passionate about animal welfare, Heather runs the Mount Carmel No Nonsense Neutering (TNR) Voucher Program and the Mount Carmel Mobile Cat Transport, helping to reduce stray populations and support responsible pet ownership in the area. Above all, Heather is a proud wife to Shawn, a devoted mother, a loving grandmother to two granddaughters, and a dedicated dog mom to four beloved dogs. Her life’s work—both professionally and personally—reflects her deep love for her family, her town, and the people and animals who call it home.

Dan is a transplant from Dunedin, Florida. Dan has extensive experience in non-profits and community restoration/promotion with over 30 years in various organizations. Professionally, Dan owns Zucker & Zucker, a web development and marketing company, for the last 27 years. He is a graphic artists, a programmer and web developer. In his personal life Dan and his partner Kyle of 15 years bought and renovated a historic home in Mt Carmel. In his free time Dan loves home renovation, art, skiing, camping in the RV, traveling and has become quite good at wine making.

Hi! My name is Sherie Boyer, Secretary of Mount Carmel Revive and Thrive. My husband Rick and I moved to Mt Carmel in 1982. We have two children, Gwen, wife of Jack Yost, Elysburg and Christopher, husband of Amy, Florida. three grandchildren: Shain and Roudy Yost and Olivia Boyer. I was very active in organizations when my children were growing up. Girl Scout leader, den mom, cheerleading moderator, treasurer for MCA band, secretary for Kulpmont Sportsman Organization, I am looking forward to helping Mount Carmel return to the beautiful, busy and prosperous town it once was…

John currently serves as a Mt Carmel Borough Councilman after a successful 2023 write-in campaign. He also serves on the Mt Carmel Borough planning commission, code committee, personnel committee, and is the Chairman of the Borough's building and infrastructure committee. He also serves as the Chairman of the Northumberland County Redevelopment Authority for blighted properties. John is a 1989 graduate of Mt. Carmel Area High School and a 1994 Graduate of College Misericordia. John has nearly 30 years of experience in code enforcement and is a Pennsylvania state certified Building Code Official and Residential and Commercial Building Inspector. He currently serves as a Building and Codes Department Manager and inspector outside of Harrisburg, PA. John enjoys traveling and exploring new places and restaurants with his wife, Barb, and especially enjoys camping, casinos, and sports. He is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and enjoys participating as a News-Item “Fearless Forecaster,” predicting weekly football game outcomes during the season.

Mount Carmel Revive and Thrive Board Member Edward Hirsch was raised in Mount Carmel. He is a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School and the University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Previously Edward was Vice President and Treasurer of Mount Carmel Downtown, Inc. from 2015 to 2024. Edward was selected to the Board of Directors of Mount Carmel Revive and Thrive in January 2025. Edward resides in Mount Carmel.

Richard Hine has proudly served as a Pennsylvania State Dog Law Enforcement Warden for 13 years, dedicating his career to protecting dogs and upholding the law. In addition to his public service, he works part time with Famous Reading Outdoors, further reflecting his passion for the outdoors. A married father of two, Richard is also an assistant wrestling coach who enjoys spending time with his family, supporting his community, and pursuing his interests in camping, wildlife and outdoor activities.

Erica S. is the owner of Secondhand Rows Book Shoppe on Oak St., a veteran, and a current member of the Pennsylvania National Guard. Service has shaped much of her life — both to country and to community. She is committed to strengthening Mount Carmel by supporting small businesses, encouraging community connection, and helping bring new energy and opportunity to the area while honoring its history.

Melissa Sauger, MSW holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, combining policy knowledge with hands-on community development expertise. Raised in and deeply dedicated to Northumberland County and Mt. Carmel Borough, where she lives, she is passionate about strengthening the communities that shaped her. Her work focuses on community revitalization, housing stability, and sustainable neighborhood growth, with a strong emphasis on serving seniors and veterans. With expertise in property, safety, and housing quality. She advances initiatives that protect vulnerable residents while preserving local housing.
